Writers of Dallas on TNT are still in the process of pulling together JR Ewing’s swan song but Dallas showrunner Cynthia Cidre informed ultimatedallas.com that the episode bidding farewell to JR is currently titled “JR’s Masterpiece.”
Cynthia went on to pay tribute to Larry Hagman who passed away in November “Larry was an incredibly gifted and canny actor. He was a huge celebrity worldwide who never took advantage of his popularity on set, and that made him twice as gifted and twice as cool in everyone’s eyes. Everyone on our team wants to bid a proper and fitting farewell, not only to the character of JR, but to Larry Hagman, whose larger than life personality so imbued JR Ewing”
Dallas returns for its second season starting Jan. 28 at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
JR’s farewell is rumored to take place in episode 8 slated to air on March 11 2013
